Shoutin' the blues - Rockin' the dance floor

If you're looking for some great music for your club or event, the Revelators can deliver! This group of seasoned musicians has come together to form a band that is both unique and accessible. They have pulled a collection of tunes from both well- and lesser-known artists and songwriters that will put a smile on your face and make your body want to move. The styles represented include 50's through contemporary blues from the likes of Koko Taylor, Kim Wilson, and Susan Tedeschi as well as rockers such as John Hiatt, Delbert McClinton and Wet Willie (if you remember Wet Willie you may be as old - er - seasoned as we are).

Lead guitar is covered handily by Bob Sykes. Bob is a twenty-plus year guitar veteran who is always tasteful, playing the subtlest accent or "rockinest" solo depending upon what's called for at a given moment.

Will McFarlane (ex Bonnie Raitt guitarist) says Calvin "plays like 'Duck" Dunn [Booker T & MGs & Blues Brothers] - he's all about the groove".roy-t.jpg (3269 bytes)

Roy is a graduate of the UNC-G music school and has a history of skillfully playing blues, jazz, rock and R&B at numerous area clubs and festivals.

The four players have performed in such bands as Dr. Brown's Code Blue Revue, Brice Street, Late Shift, Blues-A-Matic, Russ Wilson and His Mighty Mighty Men, Armand and Bluesology featuring Will McFarlane, Ministers of Sinister, The Mystery Hillbillies and Wild Blue Yonder.
